If you’re here, then obviously you already know that there’s a whole lot of mods out for Schedule I. If you’re like me and you prefer to have simple quality of life upgrades that don’t break immersion, then you’ll very likely find these five entries pretty useful.
I’m not a huge fan of mods that drastically change the game’s mechanics or are just straight up cheats, so you won’t find any of those in this list. Links are provided for each entry. Just click on the headers! I’ve got a guide on how to install mods if you need help with that too.
Here are my top 5 mods that stay as close as possible to the intended gameplay experience:
- TrashGrabber PLUS
- Bread’s Storage Tweaks
- Minimap
- Quality Bonus
- Dealer Tracker
Now, let’s take a closer look at what each of them can do…
EDIT (4/12/25) – There’s been a lot of drama going on in the modding community at the moment due to a few bad actors. With some of the mods having been taken down from the Nexus, I updated this with alternatives that work just as well.
Mod #1 – TrashGrabber PLUS
TrashGrabber PLUS basically just lets you collect a virtually infinite amount of garbage. It does feel like cheating, but it makes more sense than having an entire bucket get filled up after picking up a few stacks of very thin paper or a handful of cigarettes.
A nice little QoL that (as far as I know) doesn’t interfere with the achievement that requires you to dump hundreds of junk into a Cash for Trash bin.
Mod #2 – Bread’s Storage Tweaks
This mod lets you change the amount of things storage containers can have. It’s up to you whether you want to use a realistic value or just turn stuff into an almost infinite “Shelf of Holding”, though I highly encourage you to keep it small so your game doesn’t potentially break.
This lets you compensate for the fact that shelves in the game are used inefficiently, since it has to use up an entire slot for even just a stack of baggies. Seriously, who stores ziploc bags like that?
You can also increase how many slots your dealers have!
Mod #3 – Minimap
It’s a minimap! I don’t really know what else to tell you, lol. Since the game only really has a “Map” application on the player’s smartphone, it can be pretty annoying to figure out where you are while running around.
Not only does it add a fully functional minimap to the top right corner of your screen, but it also comes with a built-in clock. This way, you don’t have to keep whipping your phone out to check the time!

Mod #4 – Quality Bonus
With the Quality Bonus mod, selling products of a higher quality than the buyer’s standards will get you a bit of extra cash. This gives you an actual reason to work towards increasing the quality of your “meds”.
No need to start charging higher and potentially getting people to say “no thanks”. Just sell them some of that heavenly stuff and they’ll give you a decent chunk of bonus change on their own!
Mod #5 – Dealer Tracker
This one gives you a bit of omniscience, so I guess it does kinda count as “cheating”, but I see it as more of a handy QoL feature. All it does is show you how much cash your dealers currently have, how many customers are assigned to them, and if they still have products on hand.
It’s really useful, since you won’t have to keep waiting for your dealers to text you that they’re out of “the stuff”. You’ll still need to look for them if they’re out doing their jobs, so it’s not like the mod lets you teleport beside them or pinpoint their exact location at all times.

And those are my top 5 mods for the game that try to keep it close to the original experience. If you need mods that make certain mechanics much more bearable and don’t mind breaking your immersion a bit, I also have a list of the best gameplay-altering Schedule 1 mods that’ll help you out. The entries here complement the ones in that list, so feel free to mix and match stuff to enhance the overall experience!
