There’s already a lot of mods out for TCG Card Shop Simulator, and if you’re looking for some suggestions, I’ve got five for you to try out! (Yes, that popular Pokemon mod is in here too)
To preface this, it should be noted that this is my top 5 at the moment. The majority of these are quality of life upgrades that try not to drastically change the experience by trivializing certain mechanics. I’ll be putting a few extras that you might find useful at the very bottom.
Also, if you aren’t sure how to install mods for this game, I have a guide for that too. Anyways, let’s get to the list. Links are provided for each entry, by the way. Just click on the headers!
Mod #1 – Fast Pack Opening
Fast Pack Opening is a godsend for people who like to rip through tons of packs in hopes of finding a rare card to sell or display. It has a lot of configurable settings, including the ability to increase the maximum number of packs you can carry at a time (the default is eight).
It’s a very versatile mod, as it adds so much more than its name implies. My favorite feature, aside from the faster opening speed, is the high value threshold slider. With that set at the hundreds or thousands, you can stop the game from highlighting pulled cards as “high value” just because it’s worth over ten bucks.

Mod #2 – Auto Light Switch
As the name suggests, this one lets you automatically turn the lights on at a set time. It’s really no hassle to do it on your own, but at a certain point, those few precious seconds you would have spent running over to the switch at night could be used for opening packs or literally anything else.
Get the mod and set it at around 5 or 5:30 in the afternoon and you’ll be set for life. Also, as a bonus tip, don’t go AFK while the lights are on. That’ll continue adding to your electricity bill even if the clock’s already stuck at 9PM!

Mod #3 – Better Collision
This one is perfect for people who enjoy decorating their store or those who just want to min-max everything. It basically makes it easier for you to place stuff close to one another, as it lets you kinda ignore those white dotted outlines.
The mod gives you the ability to assign hotkeys to ignore either collision or snapping. The latter of which is amazing, as any player would know how insanely annoying the snapping in this game can be whenever you’re trying to plop down a new shelf or whatever.
It gets even better when you realize that this also means you can put stuff outside the store. If you ever wanted to get extremely silly and set stuff up on the road or whatever, this mod makes that possible. Here’s a simple example, where I put a couple of play tables just beside the windows:

Mod #4 – Fast Workbench
As you’ve probably already guessed, this mod lets you configure the speed in which you pack cards at the workbench. If you’ve already tried it before, then I’m sure you know how painfully slow it can be to get a single box done.
On top of that, it also has the bonus feature of letting you configure the maximum price of the cards that you can pack. This should give you even more opportunities to get rid of junk low value cards, or just sell custom boxes for fun.

Mod #5 – PokeMod (RIP)
Now, the grand finale, I suppose. You’ve probably already noticed that my screenshots here are using custom textures, and those are from PokeMod. As a huge Pokemon fan, I couldn’t resist installing this mod that changes almost everything in TCG Card Shop Simulator into something a little more familiar.
It replaced more than just the cards. It adds new plushie models, comics, tables, and more. Even the default store textures are slightly altered, as it replaces the wooden floor with a carpet and give the rest of the store a muted and cooler color scheme.
There are a ton of other alternative themes over on Nexus Mods at the moment, including DBZ, Honkai Star Rail, Vtubers (Holo & Vshojo), etc. This one just happens to be my favorite among them.
UPDATE: As of November 2024, PokeMod has been taken down. The link above will still let you download the latest version, but it will no longer be updated. Consider checking out other texture packs instead, or stick with the vanilla Tetramon stuff.

Honorable Mentions
As promised, here is an extra list with a few more QOL mods you can try out. Some of them feel a bit too “cheat-y” for my taste, so I don’t really use them, but I know some of you don’t mind.
- Custom Customers – Lets you configure a lot of things related to customers. (Spawn rate, amount of money they spend, exact change payments, walk speed, etc.)
- FunkBeGone – Lets you reduce the amount of smelly customers or remove them completely. Also has auto scent machine settings.
- Quick Scan – One click item scanning that supposedly works with employees too.
- Lady Luck – This one lets you adjust your luck setting, allowing you to pull rare cards and variants more frequently.
That’s pretty much it for this list. Keep checking the Nexus every now and then, as the game is still in its infancy and more new stuff will surely be added by modders in the future!
