RuneScape: Dragonwilds – Restless Ghosts Quest Guide

RuneScape: Dragonwilds – Restless Ghosts Quest Guide

Read Time:3 Minute, 29 Second

The Restless Ghost is one of the first few quests every RuneScape player does at the start of their account, and guess what? It’s back in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, but this time with even more ghosts. If you’re feeling a bit lost, here’s a quick guide to help you find them all and lay ’em to rest!

Starting ”Restless Ghosts”

Just in case you haven’t started the quest yet, you can start it by interacting with the crumbling well at the village in Bramblemead Valley. This will get you a ghostspeak amulet, which will mark the beginning of the Restless Ghosts quest.

Here’s the exact location you need to check, as well as what the well looks like:

Each Spirit’s Location

Upon talking to any of the ghosts, which in this case will likely be the one who’s already in the same village as the well, you’ll be given clues as to where the ones you haven’t discovered are found.

To save you some time, I’ll throw in a map that will show you all of the spots that you need to check. Some of these will require extra steps that I’ll explain in a bit, but remember that you have to visit at night time or else they won’t be there. Here’s the map:

In a nutshell, these ghosts are found in the following spots:

  • Warren – This spirit is hanging out just a few steps away from where you got the ghostspeak amulet.
  • Lazina – They can be found in a ruined house close to the nearby windmill.
  • Finn – Inside a cave to the southeast of the village. More details below.
  • Kay – Found at a ruined structure deep in the Whispering Swamp.

Reaching Finn

Requirements: Level 20 Woodcutting, Level 8 Runecrafting, an axe, and at least 5 air runes

The ghost of Finn is hidden in a cave to the southeast of where the Wise Old Man hangs out in Bramblemead. He’s the one who’s hinted as “rising high in the sky”, and you’ll see why in a bit.

Make your way past the goblins camped out nearby and you should see a cave entrance with a lit torch (at night) along the cliff wall. You’ll need to cast Windstep in order to reach it, as there’s a wide pit you can’t jump through normally.

Once there, you have to break through the thorny vines with your axe. You should be able to see the ghost from outside already, so just talk to him once you’re through.

Don’t forget to loot the chest in the cave too!

Finding Kay

The hint for Kay starts with “choking on swamp gas“, which should be a pretty obvious clue already. For this one, you’ll have to head to the Whispering Swamp, which is a little more dangerous than the other three’s locations.

I’m only adding a detailed section for this one so you know exactly where the ghost is in the environment. It’s easy to get lost here because you might have gone to the swamp thinking that it’s already night time due to the fog.

Here’s where the ghost can be found once you get to the spot pointed out in the map earlier:

Laying Them All to Rest

Once you’ve found all four of the spirits, the last one will tell you to head to the temple in order to lay them to rest. All that’s left to do from this point is to go back to the temple you started the game in, which is found at the southwestern corner of the entire map.

If you have a lodestone at your base, you can teleport there to skip the walk back. Go outside and then head to the west side of the building, where you’ll find the Rememberance Shrine (the pot with flowers).

Interact with it and exhaust all of the options to complete the quest. You will be rewarded with four tomes that will give you a bit of experience for various skills. That’s it, you’ve completed Restless Ghosts!
