Schedule 1 still continues to get waves of new players, and with fresh features being added every now and then, I don’t blame ’em one bit. If you’re one of the people who just got the game or are looking into starting a new save, here’s a way to quickly get yourself a lot of starting money completely legit.
This was done in the 0.3.4 version of the game, and it’ll let you unlock the apartment much faster than normal. If the developer changes anything about the introductory chain of quests that affects this, I’ll try to let you know here in a future edit!
Getting A Quick Start
Before we begin, know that this guide teaches you certain things a little earlier than the game’s tutorial does. You’re not going to be exploiting anything broken, but rather relying on a bit of omniscience.
Now, regardless of whether or not you go through the prologue, you’re going to end up in Hyland Point with an RV and some basic supplies. From here, you’ll be tasked with talking to your uncle over the phone.
Do not answer the payphone yet!!! Instead, grab the watering can in your RV and use it on both of the plant pots you start with. While waiting for these crops to grow, head over to the nearest ATM (at the gas station) and withdraw $20.
With this money, run over to Handy Hank’s Hardware Store just behind the town hall. If you’re feeling lost, use the map app on your phone. It’s just a bit to the east from where the gas station is.
Use your $20 to buy a trash grabber, and then run around picking up trash with it for a bit. Just look at all the litter on the streets and press E on them until your grabber is at 100% capacity, then drop all of it at a “Cash for Trash” bin (plenty of these around the town).

Your weed should have grown by now, so go back to the RV and harvest all of it. The next step is gonna sound weird, but it’ll make sense in a bit. Discard your clippers and watering can by opening your smartphone and dragging both items to the bottom right of the screen.
Next, interact with the Packaging Station and then take out all the bags in it. You’re gonna want to discard the bags too. Once you’re done with all of that, pick up all the furniture in the RV.
To do this, just look at each object and hold right click until it appears in your inventory. You should have the following items if you’ve been following along:
- 1x Trash Grabber
- 2x Plastic Pots
- 2x LED Grow Lights
- 2x Suspension Racks
- 1x Large Storage Rack
- 1x Packaging Station
- Around 20+ OG Kush
From this point on, you can answer the payphone and follow the main quest until you get the motel room. Don’t worry, there’ll be quest markers guiding you throughout the whole thing.
EXTRA TIP: Continue filling up your trash grabber and turning it into cash whenever you can. Seriously, pick up all the garbage you see as you run around. The money adds up quickly.

The Temporary Motel Setup
By now, you’ve probably realized why we just did all of those things earlier. As you can see, the RV gets destroyed, and anything in it would have been lost forever. With all of these items on hand, you’re going to plop them all down in your motel room.
This should effectively skip the need to buy a grow tent, though you’ll probably want to buy some more at the hardware store later anyway. For now, set up the room so that everything is nice and tidy, like this:

The main quest will have you go to the hardware store and buy a bunch of supplies for planting. Since we skipped the grow tent, you’ll just need to get some soil, a watering can, and some clippers. Get around 40 baggies while you’re at it.
Continue following the main quest. Your uncle will eventually tell you to contact a supplier to buy some seeds. The number you’ll buy will be up to you, but I got 8 OG Kush seeds while cooking up this guide just to stock up early.
While waiting for your seeds to be delivered, take this time to continue exchanging trash for cash and pack all the weed you gathered from all the way back at the RV.
Once you’ve gotten the seeds you ordered, go ahead and plant them at the pots just as the main quest instructs you to do. If it tells you to buy baggies or trimmers again (assuming you put them all in storage earlier), just add them to your inventory to update the quest.

EXTRA TIP: If you do everything up to this point quickly, it should still be Monday (the first day) or just past midnight ingame and you’ll have only spent around 20 minutes of actual playtime. If you go to bed after planting the seeds, they’ll be fully grown when you wake up.
“On the Grind” – The Final Stretch
Once you have the “On the Grind” quest, it’s just a waiting game now. You should already have a few hundred dollars, even after paying your debt to the supplier. Hand out free samples of your OG Kush to potential customers (they’ll be marked in your map) and wait for people to text you.
Avoid selling directly to everybody, as the main quests will require you to accept deals made through text. With that said, you can try to score at least one or two good direct deals outside of the quest while waiting.
While waiting for my third and final customer for the quest and writing this guide, I managed to convince Peggy Myers to buy 5 bags of OG Kush for $200.

After this quest, your uncle will call you again to tell you about the cheap room above the Chinese restaurant. This is the apartment that I was referring to at the start of this post, and you should now have the $800 needed (or more) to immediately pay for it.
When you get to this point, just move all of your stuff from the motel to the apartment. You’ll have a lot of space for extra grow tents and other equipment!

Wrapping Up
That’s all I’ll guide you through, because the goal here is to just go through the slow grind at the start much faster. You’re still fairly early in the “tutorial” when you get to this point, but this is where it starts becoming more fun in my opinion.
I’ll leave you to figure out the rest from here. If you want more tips that’ll get you through more of the early game stuff, I’ve got a beginner’s guide that’ll help you. Just skip the first tip, since we already did that at the start of this one. 😉
If you have any questions, feel free to leave them at the comments below and I’ll try to get back to you when I can!
