Devas of Creation Update 1 – Release Date & Patch Notes [Roblox]

Read Time:4 Minute, 21 Second

If you’ve been out of the loop, Devas of Creation is releasing its first update after weeks of nothing new following a successful launch. There’s quite a bit to unpack here, so let’s go through some of the more important things first, starting with its release date.

When is the Update Coming?

Update 1 is going to be rolled out on October 25 (Friday). The developers didn’t specify the time zone, so depending on where you live, it might be on a Saturday for you. Anyway, you’ll be able to tell when it’s available since they’ll change its title over on Roblox, just like any other game on there that gets a major patch.

There seemingly won’t be any delays, but I’ll try to update this if that ever happens. Look on the bright side, they’ll probably send out more codes for freebies if it does get delayed.

Dungeon Crawling Gameplay

There’s a lot of vague new changes, but arguably the most important addition of the update is the introduction of Dungeons. These are bits of instanced content full of challenging enemies and traps that you can tackle either solo or with a group.

Dungeons will feature a final boss that has a chance to drop extremely rare and valuable mounts, including variants that have special particle effects. To participate in this activity, you’ll need to find Dungeon Gate Stones by killing open world enemies, and there will be an Elite version of these instances with better rewards.

I have no idea how many they plan on adding with the patch, but the developers did confirm that there will be more in future updates. For now, I do believe these are going to be fit for endgame players only. Below is a preview from the official Discord server:

New Equipment Types & Sets

As you’d expect, there are going to be new unique armor sets for each type. In addition to that, they are also releasing the game’s first set of accessories. If you’ve played the game before, you probably noticed that there are slots for rings, bracelets, and amulets. Well, now you’re gonna be able to fill ’em up!

There isn’t much info on the specifics, but what I can tell you is that it’ll drop to you “sealed”. In order to “unseal” them, you will need to approach any of the crafter NPCs and spend some of your hard-earned essence.

The assumption right now is that they’ll be both craftable and found as rare drops from various enemies, especially within the new dungeons. This is likely going to change a lot of builds if they provide a ton of bonus stats, since that’ll allow you to reallocate points elsewhere for more damage.

Reforging Scrolls

Aside from new equipment, reforging scrolls are also going to be added to the game. These will allow you to reroll the perks of your gear, including pieces that never had any to begin with.

This is huge for min-maxers, since you can now potentially get your best in slot items without having to craft an entirely new piece or glue yourself to the ever-broken ingame market. We’ll see what perks they can add once they roll out, but for now, all we’ve been told is that this will add another layer of customizability to your builds.

Other Miscellaneous Changes

There’s also a lot of balance changes and optimizations that will roll out with Update 1. One thing that sticks out is the rebalancing of food and potions. Hopefully, this means that food will be even more useful across the board, as some of them have really underwhelming bonuses.

On top of that, they are also reportedly making them easier to craft. Food in particular is incredibly annoying to stock up on because of the high resource cost of any single dish. Seriously, they expect you to spend a ton of time fishing and finding rare materials just to have a temporary buff that lasts for only ten minutes at most.

There’s also going to be an increase in the maximum attainable level and the number of times you can enchant your equipment. This is likely going to help the hardcore grinders farm dungeons faster and/or give them a reason to do so to begin with. Here’s a preview of some exclusive dungeon gear from their official Discord:

Finally, one last thing that caught my eye is that they are adding a new quest that will let new players get a mount early on. This is huge, as previously, you’d need to spam a certain level 20-ish quest until you got one through pure luck.

That wraps up all of the known changes coming with the patch. We’ll see if this first update will revive the playerbase, as the game has lost a lot of people over time due to the slow grinds and lack of late game content to work towards.
