Devas of Creation – How to Parry Properly [Roblox]

Read Time:3 Minute, 9 Second

Are you tired of running out of stamina or health from trying to block and dodge stuff in Devas of Creation? Well then, let me teach you how to parry and counter attack safely. It’s so easy once you get the hang of it, but I know a lot of you are struggling to get it done. This is an extension of my beginner’s guide, by the way.

The 1-2-3 Method

This is something that I coined myself, and it’s called the 1-2-3 Method because after every successful parry, you have a window of opportunity to do three basic attacks or cast an ability. The method is a bit more nuanced than that, but first, the parry timings!

Proper Parry Timing

There isn’t really a consistent timing for all attack animations, so you’ll probably be taking a hit or two before you get used to parrying a certain monster. Generally, though, it is very forgiving. All you need to do is tap block (F) at the very end of your enemy’s attack animation.

There are certain enemies that seemingly attack much slower than others, so there will be times where you might get hit. With enough practice though, you can completely avoid taking any damage in all PVE encounters, or at the very least only get hit once or twice every now and then.

Ranged Weapon Parrying

If you mainly use staves or the bow, the 1-2-3 Method must be strictly followed to avoid any risk of damage. After every successful parry, you should only try to go for three M1s or an ability. Any more than that and you put yourself at an unnecessarily risky position.

You can get away with four M1s, but the parry window will be much tighter and you’ll very likely end up with a regular block instead. If that happens, you’ll need to dodge away because you won’t be able to parry the next attack (if any).

Here’s an animated GIF demonstrating the method in action against an enemy with a slow attack animation:

Melee Weapon Parrying

For melee weapons, like the greatsword, you actually stagger enemies with every M1. This means that the 1-2-3 Method can be turned into the 1-2-3-4 Method, but I prefer doing the former because I don’t like knocking enemies back after every 4th hit.

The timing is pretty much the same. The main idea of this method is that it gives you a moment to catch your breath and ensure that your parries are more consistent. That’s why we stop at the 3rd hit no matter what.

I just find it more consistent, and it’ll give you more time to react to charge attacks too, which you can’t parry. If whatever you are fighting starts charging up, immediately dodge away or quickly use an ability that can stun it. Otherwise, you’re going to end up like this:

Additional Notes

Before I let you go, just remember that these tips are mainly for PVE, because players are going to be much more unpredictable. You’re probably better off going for blocks against actual people.

You can also parry ranged attacks, but the timing for these can be really iffy. Again, you’re better off just blocking these or even dodging to the side. Trust me, it isn’t worth it unless your muscle memory is godlike.

Get used to parrying and you’re going to be unkillable in Devas of Creation’s PVE. Seriously, all the bosses in this game can be beaten with just basic attacks as long as you get used to parrying them. With how forgiving the game’s parry system is, it shouldn’t take you too long to master it at all.
