If you’re a busy bee like me, you probably have a huge backlog of games that you haven’t touched or found the time to finish. Luckily, a lot of indie games on the market are built to be fun, fast-paced romps that you can pick up for an hour or so and still make significant progress, much like old school FPS games, such as Quake, DOOM, and Wolfenstein 3D.

You’re probably wondering why I’m bringing up a 5-year-old game. Well, simply put, it’s just that good! Let me give you a few reasons to try this game out.
My favorite thing about this genre is the endless replayability. I know it’s not for everyone but I personally love the repetitive nature of roguelite games, especially when you know that you’ll come out a better player in your next attempt (most of the time, anyway).
As a fast-paced genre that demands a lot of mechanical skill and impeccable decision making, fighting games tend to drive off most newcomers the second they test their mettle against a skilled player.
Now I don’t know if any of you folks feel the same way, but every year or so I get the urge to play an MMORPG…
